General Manager, Africa

📋 Description

• Own operational execution; translate founder strategy into quarterly plans.
• Lead revenue growth; GTM across Nigeria, Kenya, and new markets.
• Build institutional partnerships with universities, government bodies, and large employers.
• Support fundraising; cultivate relationships with impact investors and foundations.
• Lead cross-functional teams; oversee growth, BD, and operations.
• Represent AltSchool externally; at conferences, with partners, and in media.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years experience with at least 5 in a senior leadership role.
• Track record operating in East or West Africa (Kenya/Nigeria/Ghana) or similar.
• Proven ability to build partnerships with universities, government bodies, or large employers.
• Experience in seed or early-growth companies; comfortable with ambiguity.
• Commercial acumen with revenue/target ownership.
