Generator Technician

📋 Description

• Maintain diesel, natural gas, and propane generators.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Conduct load bank testing and emergency power system exercises.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, fuel, cooling, and control systems.
• Review manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, and specs to diagnose problems.
• Respond to generator failures to restore critical power.

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years' experience maintaining and repairing commercial/industrial generators.
• Troubleshoot diesel engines, electrical controls, and power gen equipment.
• Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Lift up to 100 pounds and work at heights up to 30 feet.
• US citizen; able to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
