Geotechnical Field Technician

📋 Description

• Support geotechnical subsurface investigations, including borehole drilling, test pits, soil
• Coordinate drilling activities and utility clearance requirements.
• Log soil and rock samples under the direction of geotechnical engineers.
• Monitor field investigations and accurately document site conditions.
• Install and monitor groundwater observation wells and piezometers.
• Collect soil, rock, aggregate, asphalt, and groundwater samples for laboratory analysis.

🎯 Requirements

• Technical diploma in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in geotechnical work, materials testing, or construction inspection.
• Previous experience with drilling programs, earthworks inspection, or laboratory testing is
• Experience working on transportation, municipal, infrastructure, or similar projects is preferred.
• Understanding of soil classification and fundamental geotechnical principles.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
