Head Economist, Marketplace Strategy

📋 Description

• Architect marketplace mechanisms: own economic logic behind core Dispatch, Pricing, and/or Supply
• Shape the roadmap: own strategic direction of tech roadmap within domain, using data-driven
• Influence & stakeholder management: provide strategic advice to country heads and functional
• Build & scale: lead, mentor, and grow a team of economists and data scientists.
• Drive quality: apply experimental methods and structural modeling for causal evidence.
• Manage workload: prioritize research agenda for critical marketplace unknowns.

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership experience across functional teams and leading technical contributors.
• Strategic depth: break down ambiguous, multi-year marketplace problems.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for senior stakeholders.
• Experience in marketplace design, pricing strategy, or economic consulting in high-velocity tech
• Advanced degree in Economics or related quantitative field (Master's or PhD preferred, or
• Expertise in causal inference (difference-in-differences, regression discontinuity).
