Head of Compliance, Bahamas

📋 Description

• Serve as strategic compliance partner to product, trading, tech, and ops teams under DARE/SCB.
• Translate regulatory requirements into scalable controls for launches and market expansion.
• Embed compliance into product design, onboarding, custody, market surveillance, and outsourcing.
• Advise the business on compliant alternatives rather than purely restrictive controls.
• Provide strategic guidance for new product development and GTM in the Bahamas.

🎯 Requirements

• 12-15+ years in senior compliance leadership in financial services; crypto a plus.
• Proven track record building regional, multi-jurisdictional compliance teams.
• Deep Bahamas regulatory knowledge (SCB, DARE Act, AML/CFT).
• Experience managing regulatory relations, examinations, and submissions.
• Strong cross-border outsourcing and group-function compliance analyses.
• Translates global standards (FATF Travel Rule, market integrity) to Bahamas.
