Head of Data Science (12m fixed-term contract)

📋 Description

• Lead and grow Marshmallow’s data science team in a fast-paced, commercial role.
• Own delivery of data science projects across pricing, risk-based decisioning, and GenAI initiatives.
• Partner with engineering, product and pricing to set technical direction and trade-offs.
• Maintain high standards of technical quality across modelling and data lifecycle.
• Drive measurable business impact and a culture of **ownership** and collaboration.

🎯 Requirements

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong background as a senior data science contributor with end-to-end ML delivery.
• Experience influencing technical direction across DS and Engineering; scalable model/service
• Strong stakeholder management; able to communicate trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
• Nice to have experience in regulated domains (insurance/fraud) and GenAI strategy.
