Head of Engineering, POS Application Platform

📋 Description

• Own the technical strategy and architecture for the POS Application Platform.
• Build and govern four platform pillars: developer experience, reliability, foundational frameworks, and squad adoption.
• Define and enforce engineering standards across all POS device types and OEMs.
• Lead POS engineers across Payments, Onboarding, VAS, Savings, and Loans squads.
• Own POS observability end-to-end: monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
• Scale the platform team, including hiring and mentoring for international growth.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years hands-on software engineering with 6+ years leading teams.
• Direct, hands-on experience building Android POS device apps.
• Strong knowledge of EMV standards and PCI DSS / P2PE.
• Deep Android expertise in Kotlin and Java.
• Experience building internal engineering platforms, libraries, tooling.
• Fintech background in regulated high-volume environments.
