Head of Engineering, POS Application Platform

📋 Description

• Own technical strategy and architecture for the POS Application Platform.
• Build and govern core platform pillars: DX, reliability, frameworks, adoption.
• Define and enforce engineering standards across POS devices and OEMs.
• Lead POS engineers across Payments, Onboarding, VAS, Savings, and Loans squads.
• Own POS observability end-to-end: monitoring, alerting, incident response.
• Architect onboarding and integration for new device types and OEMs.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on software engineering, with 6+ years leading teams.
• Direct hands-on experience building software on POS terminal devices.
• Strong knowledge of EMV standards and PCI DSS / P2PE.
• Android engineering expertise in Kotlin and Java.
• Experience building internal platforms, shared libraries, and tooling.
• Experience governing across multiple POS device types from different OEMs, with scale.
