Head of FP&A

📋 Description

• Set FP&A vision and direct analysts and data resources toward it.
• Lead FP&A team (2–3 members) and plan for 1–2 dedicated finance partners.
• Establish operating norms: curious, systems-oriented, bias toward action, collaborative.
• Lead end-to-end FP&A transformation: migrate from spreadsheets to a data warehouse.
• Define scalable planning architecture; offload historical data and recurring reporting to automated pipelines.
• Build real-time, self-service budget visibility for GMs and department heads.

🎯 Requirements

• 7–12+ years of progressive finance experience with FP&A leadership in SaaS/recurring revenue; B2C a plus.
• Proven track record of process transformation; redesigning workflows from first principles.
• Strong SaaS unit economics: ARR, NRR, CAC/LTV, gross margin, Rule of 40, product P&L.
• Comfort with imperfect data; can progress and build confidence before data is pristine.
• Hands-on experience building or modernizing FP&A platforms with AI/LLM tools (Claude/ChatGPT) or willingness to learn.
• Excellent cross-functional communication; translate financial complexity for GMs, engineers, and the board.
