Head of Licensing & Exam Management

📋 Description

• Own multi-state licensing strategy across servicing, brokering, and money transmitter licenses.
• Design and maintain a license matrix mapping requirements to products, entities, and jurisdictions.
• Build scalable workflows for license applications, renewals, and filings with Brico/NMLS automation.
• Monitor regulatory changes and translate into updates to internal policies, processes, and filings.
• Establish escalation process for at risk licenses with remediation plans and regulator engagement.
• Partner with Legal to embed licensing readiness into product roadmaps and GTM planning.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in licensing, exam management, or compliance at fintech/bank/regulated finance.
• Direct experience managing multi-state licensing portfolios (consumer lending, money transmitter).
• Proven track record leading end-to-end regulatory exam cycles with regulators or banks.
• Deep knowledge of state licensing, NMLS, and regulatory landscape.
• Experience building or maturing licensing/exam management to proactive, scalable operations.
• Bachelor's degree required; JD or advanced degree a plus.
