Head of Platform Engineering

📋 Description

• Lead the Platform org across infrastructure, app platform, agentic eng, and site reliability
• Own deployable infra surface: SaaS regions, federal region, private deployments, multi-cloud
• Build operating model for pillar roadmaps, ownership, production readiness, and platform scorecards
• Make API parity part of how Fieldguide ships customer workflows
• Establish reliability practices: owners, SLOs, dashboards, on-call health
• Hire, coach, and develop TLs/managers for platform domains

🎯 Requirements

• Experience leading platform, infrastructure, or product-platform teams through growth.
• Ability to reason across APIs, auth, distributed systems, cloud infra, reliability, and AI runtime.
• Experience building teams with TLs/managers owning domains, roadmaps, and operational quality.
• Judgment on build-vs-buy tradeoffs for shared platforms and cloud services.
• Experience turning platform work into user-facing leverage via API adoption and self-service.
• Familiarity with SRE practices, including SLIs/SLOs, incident reviews, and toil reduction.
