Head of Systems Engineering (Sr. Director)

📋 Description

• Own and scale Nuro’s Systems Engineering across autonomy, hardware, safety case, requirements
• Define the systems engineering strategy for growth across cities, vehicle platforms, partnerships
• Translate goals into system requirements, measurable targets, validation plans, and launch
• Own requirements architecture, system decomposition, and interface management for the Nuro Driver
• Drive the system-level safety case with Autonomy, Hardware, Legal, Product, and Operations ensuring
• Lead technical analyses and trade studies to inform architecture, sensing configuration, compute

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of systems engineering in related fields (e.g., automotive, aerospace, robotics)
• Experience leading systems engineering across complex hardware and software products with
• Track record of developing senior technical leaders and high-ownership teams.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex tradeoffs to engineers, executives, and
