HIM Outpatient Coding Supervisor

📋 Description

• Provide expert guidance to coders, compliant documentation management teams, and revenue integrity
• Analyze clinical documentation and coding information to determine accurate, compliant, and ethical
• Review medical records identified through coding analytics and SMART tools to detect patterns
• Identify opportunities to improve coder performance, documentation quality, coding accuracy, and
• Serve as a technical subject-matter expert and resource for department leadership, coding staff
• Provide clear interpretation and clarification of coding standards, documentation requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in health information management, medical
• Minimum 2 years of people leadership or supervisory experience.
• Current certification as one of the following: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC, with the credential
• Strong senior-level outpatient coding experience, including knowledge of outpatient and inpatient
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex clinical documentation and determine appropriate coding

• Annual salary range: $68,000–$113,000, with compensation determined by experience, skills
