📋 Description

• Own Python integrations for Home Assistant, ESPHome, and Open Home ecosystem.
• Build and maintain Python integrations, libraries, and components.
• Translate device protocols into Home Assistant entities and UX.
• Collaborate with Embedded Linux OS and Hardware teams.
• Focus on client-side integration and app layer, not firmware.
• Write well-tested, maintainable Python code and review PRs.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong Python development with async/await, tests, and typing.
• Significant open-source contributions (PRs, reviews, async workflows).
• Experience building integrations, APIs, automation, or device communications.
• Comfort across software/hardware boundaries; understand device protocols.
• Familiarity with Bluetooth, Zigbee, USB, UART, MQTT, I2C, SPI.
• Ability to navigate large codebases and create greenfield solutions; debugging.
