HPC Applications Engineer

📋 Description

• Manage simulation software stack: install, configure, and version across solver releases
• Administer licence servers; monitor usage; coordinate with vendors
• Benchmark scaling; tune CPU/memory/MPI settings for performance
• Develop end-to-end simulation pipelines: geometry prep, meshing, solver, post-processing
• Maintain a results database; enforce archival policies aligned with aerospace certs
• Build dashboards for job status and tooling for engineers to compare results

🎯 Requirements

• Practical CAE/simulation experience in production HPC
• Hands-on in CFD, FEA, electromagnetics, aeroelasticity, or multi-physics
• Automate simulation pipelines; job chaining; parameterisation; pre/post-processing
• Robust scripting: Python and Bash; familiarity with Java or Tcl for solver macros
• Submit/manage jobs with HPC schedulers (Slurm, PBS Pro); practical MPI knowledge
