HPC Systems Administrator

📋 Description

• Own day-to-day admin of compute nodes, storage, interconnects, and license servers
• Maintain high availability via monitoring, patching, and incident response
• Administer workload schedulers (Slurm, PBS Pro, etc.) and manage queues/utilisation
• Manage simulation software stack and user environments with Lmod/Spack/EasyBuild
• Collaborate with hardware/software vendors to resolve issues and RMAs
• Automate workflows with Bash, Python, and Ansible

🎯 Requirements

• Linux admin experience in production HPC or large shared compute
• Hands-on with workload schedulers (Slurm, PBS Pro, LSF)
• Experience with parallel filesystems (Lustre, BeeGFS, GPFS) and high-speed interconnects
• Scripting/automation skills: Bash, Python, Ansible
• Manage commercial simulation software and license servers (e.g., FlexLM)
