IC Layout Automation Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain production software for IC layout workflows
• Refactor code to improve maintainability, usability, and performance
• Build scalable architectures supporting evolving design and fabrication needs
• Ensure code quality with testing, documentation, and version control
• Translate design and fabrication requirements into layout-ready implementations
• Work with GDSII and IC layout formats to generate and validate layout data

🎯 Requirements

• B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in CS, EE, CE, Physics, Applied Physics, or related field
• Strong proficiency in Python with production-quality software experience
• Experience owning and improving long-lived, complex codebases (refactor, test, document)
• Experience with IC layout data and formats, including GDSII
• Familiarity with EDA/IC tools like KLayout, gdspy, Cadence
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
