In-Community Supports - Mental Health Specialist II

📋 Description

• Provide hands-on and/or verbal assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Assist with daily activities (personal care, meals, transport, chores) while fostering independence.
• Maintain a clean, safe space and help individuals reach their personal goals.
• Build relationships with individuals served and teammates; provide supervision and positive reinforcement.
• Attend community activities and work with behavior plans; transport to appointments.

🎯 Requirements

• 18+ to work in residential adult programs; 21+ for child foster care homes.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with challenging physical/verbal aggressions and/or property destruction and/or self-injurious behaviors.
• Prefer experience with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Experience with Mental Health/Illness is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record (proof required).
• Current auto liability insurance.
