Independent Living Specialist

📋 Description

• Provide 1:1 in-home and in-community support to promote independence.
• Assist with daily activities: personal care, meals, transport, housekeeping, and laundry.
• Maintain a clean, safe space and document progress toward goals.
• Develop skills in community participation, health, safety, wellness, and household management.
• Attend team meetings and assist with progress reports and team coordination.

🎯 Requirements

• Must be 18+ (or 21+ depending on the person-served).
• Education/training or two years in developmental disabilities and/or mental illness per supervisor.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record, auto liability, and reliable vehicle.
• High school diploma or GED; associate degree or two years related experience.
• Willing to drive within a 30-mile radius; tech-savvy with a smartphone/data.
• Flexible, team player; document care and follow support plans.
