Independent Living Specialist

📋 Description

• Provide 1:1 in-home/in-community support to promote independence.
• Assist with daily activities: personal care, meals, transportation, chores.
• Maintain safe, clean spaces and support personal goals.
• Develop skills in community participation, health, safety, and household tasks.
• Attend team meetings, write progress reports, and coordinate with the support team.
• Coach and mentor to help individuals reach their goals.

🎯 Requirements

• Must be 18 or 21+ depending on person-served.
• Education/experience working with developmentally disabled or mental illness.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record and reliable vehicle.
• High school diploma or GED; associates degree or two years related experience preferred.
• Willing to drive within a 30-mile radius; tech-savvy with a smart device.
• Strong reading, writing, and communication skills for care documentation.
