Infrastructure Architect

📋 Description

• Lead infrastructure architecture and modernization for VA enterprise health systems.
• Design and implement secure, scalable hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
• Modernize legacy healthcare systems (VistA/MUMPS) and validate AI outputs for VA standards.
• Coordinate with VA stakeholders and serve as liaison between VA and the LTS product development team.
• Develop infrastructure roadmaps, reference architectures, and technical standards aligned with VA/federal requirements.
• Collaborate with application, cybersecurity, and DevSecOps teams to support modernization, HA, DR, and scalability.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years in enterprise infrastructure engineering or architecture.
• Experience supporting federal IT modernization programs, preferably within VA/healthcare environment.
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy and compliance with federal/VA standards.
• Strong experience with hybrid cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform).
• Experience in virtualization, storage, networking, identity management, and compute.
• Strong understanding of federal cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP, Zero Trust).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
