Infrastructure Engineering Director

📋 Description

• Own FanDuel's cloud and outpost infrastructure; provide hands-on leadership.
• Establish operational standards, runbooks, change management, and incident response.
• Drive cost optimization, capacity planning, and reliability.
• Partner with Platform Engineering and product teams to align on roadmaps.
• Manage vendor relationships, cloud spend, and DR/resilience planning.
• Mentor engineers and raise infrastructure maturity across teams.

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience leading platform engineering, SRE, or infra org.
• Kubernetes architecture, operations, scaling; multi-cluster management.
• AWS cloud infra: VPCs, networking, IAM, EC2, EKS, cost management; Outposts.
• Experience defining platform, reliability, or infrastructure strategy across teams.
• Operational discipline: runbooks, change mgmt, incident response, post-mortems.
• DR design with RTO/RPO, failover testing, resilience improvements.
