📋 Description

• Code diagnoses and procedures for ED, ASC, HAS, OBS, IP, and more.
• Maintain 95% productivity/quality in ICD-10-CM/PCS and HCPCS/CPT.
• Follow CMS, NCHS, CPT, NCCI, UHDDS guidelines.
• Clarify diagnoses/procedures with physicians.
• Abstract data from health records and document thoroughly.
• On-site training for 1 week or until dept expectations met.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years inpatient coding exp; or Kaiser inpatient auditor.
• HS diploma or GED.
• RHIT, Coding Specialist, or RHIA certificate.
• EMR experience and computer skills.
• Advanced ICD-10-CM/PCS and HCPCS/CPT knowledge.
• Preferred: 5+ yrs HIM/medical records; HIM degree; Medicare guidelines.
