Intern, Fire Protection Engineering

📋 Description

• Develop and/or review drawings of systems or components according to established standards.
• Develop plans, specifications, and inspection reports for assigned tasks.
• Assist in resolving design problems through field investigations, detailed design work, and
• Identify applicable codes and standards for inquiries.
• Perform building code analyses, egress analyses, fire detection and alarm systems reviews, smoke
• Perform basic calculations such as means of egress, maximum allowable building area, sprinkler

🎯 Requirements

• Working towards a Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering from an accredited college or
• Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles or construction technology and practices.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, professional journals, and
• Intermediate written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
