IP and Data Privacy Counsel

📋 Description

• Advises on data privacy across US and EU/UK law
• Builds and maintains privacy program including policies, notices, data processing agreements, and
• Handles privacy filings and registrations
• Responds to regulator, customer, and contributor inquiries
• Advises on copyright, trademark, and other IP questions in AI data work
• Tracks litigation, legislation, and regulation on AI, data, and IP

🎯 Requirements

• 5-10 years experience as a lawyer (mid-level associate or higher at law firm, or in-house)
• Hands-on experience with US and EU/UK privacy laws including filings, compliance programs, and new
• Strong working knowledge of trademark and copyright, and current case law affecting AI companies
• Clear, practical communication with recommendations and risk explanation in plain language
• Comfortable with ambiguity and structuring unanswered legal questions
• Able to work with engineers, researchers, and business teams moving fast while ensuring legal
