Lab Technician

📋 Description

• Perform high-volume phlebotomy for STI RNA tests and research samples.
• Perform CLIA-waived and moderate-complexity tests (rapid HIV, HCV, syphilis).
• Process specimens and transport to off-site labs per safety requirements.
• Provide HIV/HCV/STI risk reduction counseling and disclosures.
• Document client records in CTL and electronic case management systems.
• Outreach in street and community settings to provide testing.

🎯 Requirements

• 1–2 years of HIV/HCV/STI prevention, phlebotomy, or testing experience.
• Current California CPT-1 certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• CA Rapid HIV/HCV Test Counselor certification preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Experience with venue-based/mobile testing and harm reduction.
• Valid California driver's license preferred.
