Laboratory Operations Manager

📋 Description

• Oversee day-to-day operation of UK laboratories, workshops, and prototype spaces.
• Ensure spaces are safe, compliant, organized, and ready for engineering activities.
• Lead health, safety programmes and develop risk assessments and SOPs.
• Coordinate access, scheduling, and space allocation for teams.
• Support installation, commissioning, and relocation of equipment.
• Drive continuous improvement with KPIs, 5S, and visual management.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years managing laboratories, workshops, or technical ops.
• Strong H&S background; NEBOSH or IOSH preferred.
• Experience supporting hardware development in robotics/advanced eng.
• Lab equipment management, calibration, asset control experience.
• Proven ability to establish processes and standards in fast-paced envs.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; detail-oriented.
