Language Lead - Japanese (Contract)

📋 Description

• Native-level Japanese proficiency; primary language resource for voice AI in Japanese
• Ongoing contractor engagement with availability during US Pacific hours for team syncs
• Own language end-to-end: manage annotation quality, audit data, monitor product performance, and
• Coordinate with Human Evals Manager on project deliverables and timelines
• Independent work across multiple language workstreams with minimal supervision
• 40 hours/week with flexibility depending on studies and product needs

🎯 Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in Japanese as spoken in Japan
• Experience with data annotation, transcription, or language quality assurance
• Strong linguistics foundation; apply concepts like phonetics, prosody, intonation
• Strong written English; all guidelines and communication in English
• Ability to write clear, structured instructions and deliver actionable feedback
• Comfortable with data/metrics like inter-rater agreement, audit spreadsheets
