Laser Technician

📋 Description

• Assemble, align, and test laser amplifier systems to spec at Darmstadt.
• Lead maintenance, calibration, and upgrades for laser infrastructure.
• Diagnose faults across optical and basic electronic subsystems; document.
• Ensure safety for high-energy lasers and high-voltage systems.
• Build and wire laser electronics: power supplies, drivers, control subsystems.
• Improve configuration and test documentation for engineers.

🎯 Requirements

• Solid background in photonics, lasers, or optics with hands-on optical alignment.
• Experience with electro-optical and basic electronic systems: power supplies and drivers.
• Proficient in fault diagnosis and preventive maintenance across optical and electronic subsystems.
• Experience with optical and electrical test equipment: power meters, oscilloscopes, beam analysers.
• Knowledge of laser safety principles, including Class 4/high-energy lasers and safety protocols.
• Strong documentation habits and ability to keep records current.
