Lead Analytics Engineer

📋 Description

• Serve as data architect for Monzo’s Operations data and scalable models.
• Build downstream data models in BigQuery for reporting and ML.
• Lead re-architecture of Operations domains including workforce data.
• Set data warehouse best practices: payload design, modeling, testing.
• Collaborate to set data standards and improve data practices.
• Own central platform initiatives and provide on-call data support.

🎯 Requirements

• Passion for data modelling, ETL, and Big Data.
• Experience with data streams from financial, transactional & operational systems.
• SQL and data modelling are second nature; strong data warehousing basics.
• Proactive about continuous improvement and addressing challenges.
• Experience building robust data sets with high data quality controls.
• Thrives in cross-functional, fast-moving teams serving customers.
• Strategic thinking on credit products and how data unlocks insights.
• Able to mentor others and share data architecture expertise.
