Lead Backend Developer

📋 Description

• Shape the Architecture: define the tech vision and service architecture.
• Lead by Example: contribute to design, implementation, review, and production support.
• Help build new features: design and implement patterns to add features.
• Mentor & Guide Engineers: provide day-to-day technical guidance, unblock work, review designs.
• Plan & Deliver: turn goals into clear technical plans, milestones, and incremental delivery.
• Partner Across the Platform: collaborate with partner engineering teams to ensure clean integrations.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience using Python.
• Significant experience designing and operating distributed services.
• Strong architectural judgment around stateful services, asynchronous processing, reliability.
• Hands-on technical leadership: unblocking, reviewing, and mentoring end-to-end.
• Experience translating ambiguous goals into pragmatic designs and incremental plans.
• Experience building scalable backend services in cloud environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
