Lead Cloud Platform Engineer

📋 Description

• Own the platform engineering roadmap with stakeholders to align delivery.
• Lead and mentor a team of platform engineers, ensuring quality and growth.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for platform matters across teams.
• Own the operational health of containerised workloads on EKS.
• Drive GitOps practices using Flux; maintain reconciliation pipelines across environments.
• Manage and optimise EKS, MSK, and RDS; scale, patch, cost governance, incidents.

🎯 Requirements

• Kubernetes at production scale; EKS preferred, with networking, RBAC, and cluster ops.
• GitOps tooling with Flux (essential); Helm and Kustomize.
• AWS managed services: EKS, MSK, and RDS in production.
• Terraform, authoring and maintaining modular infrastructure-as-code across environments.
• GitHub Actions, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for containerised workloads.
• Application-layer awareness: Java/Kotlin and Python services in containers.
