Lead Developer, Embedded Engineering

📋 Description

• Own architecture for complex embedded systems; firmware from requirements to production.
• Lead technical initiatives across the team roadmap; mentor and review quality.
• Develop deep understanding of Geotab IoT device firmware and modules.
• Break down large engineering efforts into parallelizable tasks with the team.
• Define unit/integration/hardware test frameworks for test-driven development.
• Develop scalable, high-quality embedded software for RTOS/Embedded Linux or bare metal.

🎯 Requirements

• Expert knowledge of C/POSIX and OO design; architectural ownership.
• RTOS and/or multi-threaded Embedded Linux experience.
• ARM/RISC-V SoCs (STM32/NXP/Renesas) knowledge.
• UART, SPI, I2C, CAN interfaces and reading schematics.
• Python/Bash scripting; Pytest/Robot; SQL.
• Git, CI/CD; test-driven development and peer reviews.
