Lead Internal Events & Production Strategist

📋 Description

• Design and lead GitLab's internal events strategy, incl company-wide assemblies, AMA sessions, Company Kick-Off, virtual gatherings, and in-person summits.
• Own the full event lifecycle from concept and budgeting to logistics, production, delivery, and post-event analysis.
• Build scalable, accessible experiences for a globally distributed workforce across time zones.
• Partner with Executive Communications, the Executive Group, and cross-functional teams to align programming with priorities.
• Manage external vendors, production agencies, platform partners, and budgets with ROI focus.
• Explore event technologies and formats, including AI-powered tools and hybrid experiences.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience planning and producing large-scale internal events for audiences >500, ideally distributed/remote-first.
• Experience in corporate events, team member experience, or internal communications.
• Strong project management with multiple high-visibility events and strict attention to detail.
• Clear communication and confidence partnering with senior leaders.
• Experience managing event budgets and external vendors/agencies.
• Familiarity with virtual/hybrid platforms (e.g., Zoom Events) and interest in AI tools.
