Lead Java Developer — Performance Engineering

📋 Description

• Lead design and development of scalable, high-performance Java services.
• Remain hands-on: write, review, and debug production-grade Java code daily.
• Own end-to-end performance engineering: set requirements and load validation.
• Design/run perf test suites (load, stress, soak, spike) with CI/CD.
• Profile CPU/memory/GC/threading/I/O and data stores; resolve bottlenecks.
• Tune the JVM (GC, heap sizing, thread pools) for throughput and latency.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of Java experience with the JVM (11/17+) and hands-on coding.
• Experience designing/operating cloud distributed systems at scale on AWS.
• Hands-on performance engineering; profiling and end-to-end tuning.
• Experience with Kafka, Debezium, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Spring Boot on AWS.
• Leadership: mentoring, design reviews, and setting engineering standards.
• Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability tools (Grafana/Prometheus).
