Lead Licensing Counsel

📋 Description

• Lead and manage end-to-end licensing process for new markets globally.
• Conduct jurisdictional assessments for licensing needs and feasibility.
• Prepare and coordinate licensing applications, documents, and business plans.
• Liaise with regulators, external counsel, and authorities across jurisdictions.
• Monitor global regulatory developments affecting licensing obligations.
• Maintain a global licensing tracker with status, deadlines, and obligations.

🎯 Requirements

• Law degree (LLB/JD) and admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction.
• 2-5 years regulatory law/licensing/compliance; fintech/crypto preferred.
• Experience with licence applications or regulatory approvals (VASP, MPI, EMI).
• Understanding global licensing frameworks for VASP and financial institutions.
• Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent project management; manage multiple licensing workstreams; English.
