  • Lead the wideband UHF radar instrument for a Mars orbiter from design through spacecraft
  • Own instrument performance budgets, link budgets, and SNR analyses for sounder and radiometer modes.

🎯 Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in electrical hardware development (e.g., software-defined radios, radar
  • Proven ability to manage radar system performance budgets and analyze radar returns and performance.
  • Experience implementing SDR-style transceivers; radar/digital hardware development experience
  • Field or spaceflight experience with radio/radar transceivers; hardware design for RF payloads
  • Deep expertise in one or more: signal processing chains (FPGA/GPU), mixed-signal PCB design, RF
  • Experience with spectrum licensing and frequency coordination; polarimetric radar knowledge a plus.
