Lead Security Officer

📋 Description

• Security strategy: Lead risk assessments and policy development.
• Access control & tech management: Manage access systems and audits.
• Investigations: Lead investigations into breaches and security incidents.
• Loss prevention: Lead theft deterrence, loss trend analysis, and audits.
• Physical security: Lead cameras, patrols, gated entry, tailgating prevention.
• Audits: Audit high-risk areas and contractor access.
• Resident relations: Serve as security contact for residents and community.
• Collaboration: Work with Leasing, Hotel, Events to integrate security.
• Security standards: Establish standards for residents and hotel guests.
• Liaison: Liaise with law enforcement and stakeholders.

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 5+ years in loss prevention, corporate security, or physical security.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree.
• Experience with access control and key management.
• Documented small unit leadership experience.
• Strong investigative and report-writing skills.
• Experience in industrial or residential security.
• Experience instructing security tactics, operations, procedures.
• Experience in residential, hospitality, or mixed-use communities.
• History of critical incident handling experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to de-escalate disputes and conflicts.
• Strong interest in protecting spaceflight.
• Loss prevention experience in hospitality or retail.
• Availability to work any schedule, including OT, nights, weekends.
• FAA Part 107 Drone license required.
• Enhanced pre-employment screening: background, psych, fitness, drug test.
• Random drug and alcohol testing.
• Stand in a static position for extended periods.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Eligible for state security officer license.
• Eligible for US government security clearance.
• Able to work in extreme outdoor environments (heat, cold, rain).
• ITAR: Must be US citizen or eligible for export authorizations.
