Lead Software Developer in Test

📋 Description

• Define our test strategy: what we test at unit, integration, contract and end-to-end level, so
• Build and own our automation framework in Playwright and TypeScript, covering web front ends and
• Make CI feedback fast and trustworthy.
• Bring our existing end-to-end suite to a healthy state and keep it there as the new platform grows.
• Coach developers to write and own tests for their own code, through pairing, code review and clear
• Set up test data and environments that let teams test realistically and safely.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong coding skills in TypeScript or JavaScript, with test code written to the same standard as
• Deep experience with a modern browser automation framework. Playwright is ideal; Cypress experience
• A track record of designing test strategy across the full testing pyramid for web products and
• Experience running automated tests in CI (GitHub Actions ideally) with Docker, and fixing pipelines
• Evidence of raising quality through other people, whether by coaching developers, setting standards
