Lead Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Mentor a team of engineers via weekly 1:1s, delegation, and growth feedback
• Own team delivery, break down work, coordinate across teams, ship to timelines
• Maintain high code quality; conduct reviews and merge/deploy decisions
• Drive design/architecture for Fundrise services and contribute to the roadmap
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to implement complex features
• Champion application security in a regulated financial services environment

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years in software engineering with Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate
• 3+ years leading engineers; 1:1s, feedback, and delivery ownership
• 4+ years on AWS (ECS, CDK, S3, SQS, Lambda, DynamoDB, WAF)
• Deep understanding of transactional database design and operations
• Proven track record improving complex production systems
