Lead Software Engineer, Perception (Robotics)

📋 Description

• Lead direction for perception across detection, tracking, and multi-sensor fusion.
• Own perception foundations end-to-end, including sensor integrity and calibration.
• Build diagnostics and automated checks to catch geometry or timing issues early.
• Partner with Integration, Data, and Infra for reliable production-like conditions.
• Mentor engineers and raise the team's technical bar.

🎯 Requirements

• At least 5 years shipping or operating perception systems for robotics, AV, or ADAS.
• Experience in a research setting, leading small teams to state-of-the-art results.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning, perception, prediction, planning, and simulation with end-to-end image-based algorithms.
• Deep geometry and multi-sensor calibration know-how and time-synchronisation debugging.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python with production-quality code and tooling.
• Experience in log-driven root-cause analysis in noisy production-like environments.
