Lead Technologist

📋 Description

• Serves as a resource for technologist and department management
• Provides leadership in the department as an acting mentor and role model for staff
• Serves as a department-related content subject matter expert
• Establishes priorities in work to be done and assigns activities to technologists
• Directs internal proficiency/competency program according to regulatory standards and operating
• Resolves service-related issues and coordinates information and problem solving with lab manager

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or from an
• Appropriate State License to perform clinical laboratory testing if required by the state
• Must meet Technologist II criteria
• Knowledge of principles, methods, materials, equipment, and techniques used in the department
• Knowledge of principles applicable to the facility and regulated laboratory testing
• Ability to instruct subordinates and delegate tasks
