📋 Description

• Own legal and compliance end-to-end for the business
• Take new products from zero to one with the smallest footprint that works
• Define entity, licensing, and bank-partner posture for each product
• Write policies, procedures, disclosures, and agreements
• Review marketing, product flows, and partnerships before they ship
• Keep current legal and compliance operations running at expected standards

🎯 Requirements

• JD and active bar admission in a US state
• Prior legal or compliance role at a fintech startup, ideally fast-growing
• Mid-career: took a regulated consumer product through its full lifecycle
• Strong preference for multidisciplinary background: business, engineering, or product function
• Hands-on with consumer finance stack: FCRA and credit reporting, UDAAP, TILA/Reg Z, ECOA, EFTA/Reg
• Able to point to a product or program shaped to need less (design choice avoided license
