Legal Counsel - Privacy

📋 Description

• Own privacy analysis for new jurisdictions to enable launches.
• Embed privacy-by-design into Orion's dev lifecycle.
• Lead DSARs with Engineering and Customer Success.
• Build privacy artifacts: DPIA templates and records.
• Run first-pass DPAs with AI to speed turnaround.
• Design cross-border transfer mechanisms (SCCs, TIAs).

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of privacy and data-protection law experience, GDPR and US privacy.
• Active US bar admission; JD from ABA-accredited law school.
• Proven AI fluency: Claude, Gemini, or equivalents; design AI-assisted privacy processes.
• Experience counseling Product and Engineering on privacy-by-design, DPIAs, and data flows.
• Familiarity with cross-border transfer mechanisms (SCCs, TIAs, adequacy).
• Collaborative, business-minded approach; explain privacy risk in plain terms.
