Legal Engineer

📋 Description

• Work directly with lawyers at current and prospective customers in Japan to uncover workflow pain
• Serve as the voice of the customer, translating feedback and legal workflow insights, including
• Partner closely with product, engineering, sales, and marketing to shape Harvey’s roadmap and
• Build and refine product demonstrations, workflows, and use cases in Japanese and English that
• Introduce new capabilities in a way that’s tailored, credible, and compelling for each customer
• Provide competitive and market intelligence on the Japanese and wider APAC legal tech landscape.

🎯 Requirements

• Based in Tokyo and eligible to work in Japan.
• Qualified Japanese lawyer (弁護士) registered with the Japan Federation of Bar Associations (日本弁護士連合会).
• At least 3 years of experience as a qualified lawyer at a top-tier Japanese law firm and/or
• Fluency in Japanese and English, with the ability to operate seamlessly across both in professional
• Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and make confident, well-reasoned recommendations.
• Ability to operate across legal, product, and sales contexts, translating between stakeholders with
