Lending Regulatory Counsel

📋 Description

• Provide legal/regulatory guidance on lending regs (Reg Z, Reg B, Fair Lending) and licensing.
• Act as SME on lending regs, bank partnerships, model risk management.
• Lead resolution of cross-functional regulatory and bank partnership issues.
• Advise senior stakeholders; translate regulatory risk into actionable guidance.
• Summarize impact of new rules and flag business implications.
• Support novel consumer financial products from concept to launch.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in lending regulatory work (law firm/regulator/bank partner/in-house)
• Substantive experience with lending and bank partnerships
• Proven ability to lead complex legal/regulatory issues and engage senior stakeholders
• JD and active Bar membership in CA or NY (preferred)
• Experience with emerging/novel consumer financial products; fintech a plus
• High comfort with technology and applying tech to regulatory challenges
