Lighting Designer III

📋 Description

• Independently develop basic to moderate lighting and control system docs; mentor junior staff.
• Design lighting/control systems for healthcare, education, and commercial clients; analyze documents.
• Participate in value engineering sessions with Architectural/Engineering team.
• Apply energy and electrical codes and IES recommendations to lighting design.
• Perform illuminance and LPD calculations; complete Comcheck and LEED/WELL documentation.
• Coordinate lighting documentation with trades; attend project/client meetings.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Architectural Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of related lighting design experience.
• LC/CLD credential; IALD/IESNA membership preferred.
• LEED AP or WELL, or other sustainable certification preferred.
• Knowledge of building codes for healthcare, education, S&T and commercial spaces.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, AGI/Elumtools.
