Linux Platform Engineering

📋 Description

• Own the enterprise Linux platform roadmap, including OS lifecycle, patching, standardization, debt
• Define and maintain engineering standards, platform build patterns, operational practices
• Design and implement scalable, resilient Linux solutions across on-prem and cloud.
• Act as technical authority for compute, virtualization, storage integration, and core Linux
• Lead architecture discussions, design reviews, and key engineering decisions for Linux platforms.
• Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code with Ansible, Terraform, Bash, and Python.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent experience.
• 7–10+ years engineering and operating Linux platforms in enterprise environments (8–10 years
• Deep expertise in SUSE Linux, RHEL (or equivalent).
• Advanced Bash and Python; Perl an advantage.
• Experience with automation IaC using Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or similar.
• Strong virtualization experience with VMware vSphere or equivalents.
