Linux Platform Engineering

📋 Description

• Own enterprise Linux platform roadmap incl lifecycle, patching, standardization, tech debt
• Define maintenance standards, platform build patterns, reliability processes across Linux envs.
• Design and implement scalable Linux solutions on-prem and in the cloud.
• Act as technical authority for compute, virtualization, storage, and core Linux services.
• Lead architecture discussions and design reviews for Linux platforms.
• Drive automation and IaC using Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Python.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s in CS/IT or equivalent practical experience.
• 7–10+ years in engineering Linux platforms in enterprise settings.
• Deep expertise in SUSE Linux, RHEL or equivalent.
• Advanced Bash and Python; Perl a plus.
• Automation/IaC with Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, etc.
• Strong virtualization experience with VMware vSphere.
