Localization Engineer

📋 Description

• Analyze websites and apps for localization potential and time/material needs
• Automate analysis, file parsing and filtering; other related tasks
• Re-engineer components for localization adjustments; write scripts as needed
• Ensure compliance with client requirements and data integrity
• Coordinate with PM, art, sales and customers; assist pre-sale planning
• Provide production and sales management support

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree + 2+ years in a related field
• Strong knowledge of VB, VBA, C++, Perl, ASP, Java, JSP; XML/HTML/XLIFF
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet software
• Knowledge of Translation Memory Tools: Wordfast, Trados, Déjà vu, SDLX
• Knowledge of Software Localization tools: Catalyst, Passolo, Silk
• Knowledge of Windows, Mac and Solaris platforms
